Whether you’re planning a birthday bash, hosting a wedding reception, joining a play group, or taking the stage with amateur dramatics – our brand-new social club is the place where Ribchester comes together. With a fully stocked bar, a spacious function room available to hire, and a weekly calendar packed with events and activities for all ages, there’s always something happening under our roof.  We are the only venue owned by the community and run for the community.

Set in the stunning Roman village of Ribchester – a place steeped in history with its iconic Roman Baths, family-friendly museum, and riverside walks – our club is here to complement the vibrant local scene. While The Ribchester Sports & Social Club continues to be a well-loved landmark offering function room, Sky Sports, and live entertainment, our social club brings a fresh new option for community connection, creativity, and celebration.

Regular Events for Everyone

We’re proud to offer a variety of weekly events that cater to all ages and interests. Join us every Monday at 8 PM for a quiz night with a £1 entry and a free supper, or challenge your friends to a game of darts or dominos on Tuesdays. On the last Wednesday of each month, we host a lunch club for the elderly, providing a chance for the community to come together over a delicious meal. We also offer a Friday Chat and Coffee session every month, where you can bring a dish to share at our Jacob’s Join.

Family-Friendly Fun

We know how important it is to have family-friendly activities, which is why we host Family Friday Nights with children’s entertainers. We also have a games room featuring the only full-sized snooker table in Ribchester, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends and family.

Membership Benefits

Join our community for just £5 and enjoy exclusive perks! As a member, you’ll receive discounted drinks and enjoy a 5% uplift on your membership payments. You can also choose from full or part memberships to suit your needs. Membership helps support our community-owned venue, and gives you access to all the great events and activities we host throughout the year.

We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming and private space for your celebrations and significant life events. With over 90 years of continuous ownership by our members, our venue is truly part of the Ribchester community. We ensure every detail is taken care of so you can focus on making memories.

Room Hire Details

Our function room is available for hire at £75, with a £50 returnable deposit if the room is left clean and tidy. We also offer hourly staff services for your event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Whether you’re planning a small gathering or a grand event, our flexible space can be tailored to suit your needs and we can recommend some great caterers.
